When using this technique, users fill the air with a mysterious smog that varies in coloration depending on the potency, white being the weakest, black being moderate, and red being the strongest. The smog remains transparent in all of its strengths, however, the smell is what causes the genjutsu to begin which reaches the noses of the target(s) a few seconds before the mist itself becomes visible. The smell that leaks out gives the scent of rotting flesh and bones, rotting intestines, ect. The smog can be created by using debris from the earth, from water, and even from surrounding dead bodies. When the genjutsu is in effect; the target(s) are not aware that they've been put under one.
When inhaling the smog, chakra from the technique leaks into the chakra pathway system and shuts down the chakra points within the body, not only that but the smog also has chakra threads mixed into which acts as a combination technique. This makes breaking out the genjutsu useless as the target will officially be unable to control their own movements. The target under the genjutsu will begin seeing depictions of dead bodies scattered around the area of both animals and humans alike, even their most dear friends/family members. Though these conjurations are not instant as they only begin to appear after hearing particular inhuman screeches followed by a quick image of the creatures before they disappear out of sight.
