Note: No-one within the Kitsune Clan is to start off with mastery of this ability! There will be absolutely no exceptions on the matter!
Technique Description[]
The Kitsune Clan's own unique variant of Lycanthropy, triggered by either the full moon, or when sufficiently emotionally compromised via rage, anger, or both. While the transformation itself is excruciatingly painful at first and clan members have to actively fight against themselves just to not kill and destroy everyone and everything around them much like their Werewolf counterparts that were once considered myth, users gain drastically heightened senses as well as a significant increase in physical attributes. However, the danger posed by this form outweighs the benefits, and is ultimately the primary reason the Kitsune Clan opted to live in almost total isolation on Ouza Island. Gaining control of this form is said to be the most painful and difficult form of training any member of the Kitsune Clan could ever go through due to the physical and psychological strain the subject is forced to go through - and with good reason. In the Kitsune Clan, the saying "The worst enemy you could ever face is yourself" has never been more accurate - or as literal, for that matter. However, the benefits to complete mastery are being able to transform at will, as well as the user's body no longer being put through incredible pain when transforming and reverting back to humanoid form.
Technique Benefits[]
When transformed, all users of this technique gain +1 in Strength, Speed, Durability, Stamina, Healing, and Sensory due to their natural senses of smell and sound being amplified to be 2000 times stronger than that of an untrained civilian not of a clan with similarly enhanced senses. The enhanced senses only apply to anyone not already trained to naturally have this level of sensory ability in smell and hearing. The user also gains heightened battle instincts and threat detection, as well as moderate resistance to chakra-enhanced Melee, regardless of source. Users also possess high resistance to curses while in this form. As stated above, achieving full mastery of this form grants the additional benefits of being able to transform at will without their bodies being put through excruciating pain while transforming or reverting back to normal.
Technique Downsides[]
The Kitsune Clan's Werekitsune form unfortunately comes with the consequence of forcibly transforming during the full moon, and have to concentrate all of their efforts on not surrendering themselves to the destructive instincts to kill everyone around them and destroy everything. Transforming is also excruciatingly painful to begin with due to the body being unaccustomed to breaking and shifting the bones and skeletal structure, forcibly healing the damage done in seconds (if even that), only to repeat the painful process mere hours later when reverting back to humanoid form and again forcibly healing the damage done just as fast. It should also be noted that there is a steady, moderate chakra drain while in this form and during both shifting phases - however, that chakra is only drained in order to accelerate the recovery process from all damage done while transformed. However, in exchange for the increased resistances, the user becomes more susceptible to Genjutsu and Lightning Ninjutsu.
