The Metal Technique: Cannonball Technique (金遁・砲弾の術, "Kinton: Hōdan no Jutsu") is a jutsu where one controls a mass of metal and fires it off into the direction of the opponent to throw them all kilter, send them flying, or deal serious, sometimes fatal, damage.

After using chakra to form or compress metal into a perfect sphere, the user of this technique will form a "gun" with their hand and fire it off into the direction of the opponent, commanding the sphere to barrel forward toward the foe like a cannon. The speed at which it travels has been said to be faster than a speeding bullet, quick enough to content with the Body Flicker Technique

It is so dense and robust that most elements of mid and sometimes high caliber are simply deflected from its smooth, reflective surface. The composition of the ball can also be changed to that of low conductivity while also retaining its amazing durability.
Interestingly enough, the sphere is not as quick on turns as it is when being shot in a direct and straight line. It can be controlled with one's will but is quicker using hand gestures. It is possible to form several of them at once.
