The Ōsannōtama is a more powerful, condensed version of Sannotama. It is thus far only been used in Monkey Sage Mode.
Overview[]
It is no secret that the Sannōtama is nigh impossible to learn, yet alone master. This is why it took Yamazaru a decade to develop the Ōsannōtama which he subsequently taught to Lord Sarugami and Sarutora. All of the same principles and concents which are involved in the original technique remain the same but a higher magnitude and concentration are necessary for this variation, making it more difficult to hold the jutsu, let alone send it off as a blast.
At the moment, Yamazaru requires a clone of real substance or a companion to form the jutsu.
Usage and Improvement[]
Like Sannōtama, Ōsannōtama boasts considerably destructive power, multiplying that of the original several times over. It is said to be a jutsu created to change the scope of geography, challenge the might of even the biju and define the caliber and tone of a battle in a single swoop. Using this jutsu, mountains are destroyed and entire villages leveled. It is immensely chakra taxing, even for someone like Yamazaru and because of its composition can only travel at up to twenty meters before exploding.
Trivia[]
- Although the sphere becomes much larger and powerful for Yamazaru, the size of this jutsu in comparison to that of the monkey deity Sarugami to the monkey boss Sarutora is but a quarter in magnitude.
