Ryūzaru is a young monkey hailing from the dense jungles of Monkey Island and is the personal companion of Kokezaru Sarugami. He is rather similar to Kokezaru in his personality as both can be rather carefree but instead of being goofy he is instead quite serious, though this shouldn't be allowed to fool you as just like Kokezaru he is a cunning trickster who will try to take advantage of any little mistake.

When it comes to his capabilities Ryūzaru is much like the other monkey that has been used by other members of the Sarugami. He is highly skilled in the use of the Transformation Technique and most often uses it to take the form of a large gold & silver Baseball Bat. The form is referred to as Kōtetsusarubō (硬鉄猿棒, Hard Iron Monkey Club). While in this form much like his predecessors he is extremely durable and can withstand a lot of punishment. He knows very few ninjutsu preferring to specialise in Taijutsu, though when he does use his ninjutsu he had shown the ability to use the Shadow Clone Technique.
