Sensory

Sensory (感知, "Kanchi", Viz: "Perception") is a persons ability to perceive others through various means but generally through chakra.

Please note that choosing one of the 6 tiers for your Character pages must be done for your character's base sensory, not their sensory when augmented by techniques.

Important: In role play, please keep in mind that you must change your chakra to "sensory mode" (感知仕様, kanchi shiyō, literally meaning: perception specification) in order to sense things. This means that people cannot generally sense and fight using other chakra abilities simultaneously. This is a canon rule that is often overlooked.

Tier 0/6: Ordinary

At this level, you're essentially an ordinary person with minimal or no sensory abilities to speak of. Chakra sensing is a formidable challenge for you, often leaving you unable to differentiate between individuals or discern subtle changes in their chakra.

Tier 1/6: Average

As an average shinobi, you've put in some effort to develop your sensory capabilities. You possess the basic ability to sense chakra, but the details are somewhat limited. Chakra may manifest as a vague, blurry presence, making it challenging to distinguish between individuals. While you can detect when someone's chakra is influenced, such as by genjutsu, your precision in doing so remains modest.Sensory chakra is not an innate ability and one must mold their chakra into sensor type chakra, which can require hand seals and normal chakra reserves.

Tier 2/6: Experienced

Your sensory skills have reached an experienced level. You've honed your chakra sensing to a finer degree, allowing you to identify chakra colors and differentiate between various individuals. Although you can sense a group of people, focusing on each one requires a certain level of effort, and a few might still elude your range. Detecting changes in someone's chakra, such as genjutsu influence, is more accurate compared to lower tiers.This sensory level also allows the individual an acute attunement to their environment. They possess the capacity to discern subtle changes in the wind's patterns and detect even the faintest of footsteps. This heightened awareness allows them to navigate their surroundings with precision, making them exceptionally skilled at tracking, stealth, and situational awareness. One's can mold their chakra into sensory chakra with one hand seal and can flicker their sensor type chakra on and off like a light switch.

Tier 3/6: Advanced

At this stage, you're part of the elite Sensory-Nin. Your chakra sensing is highly refined, enabling you to perceive chakra in intricate detail. You can distinguish individuals within a group effortlessly and potentially track multiple targets simultaneously without losing concentration. Detecting alterations in someone's chakra, such as genjutsu, is within your expertise, and your precision is commendable.One with the Yōgan/Kashogan. An experienced Ketsuryugan user can see the movement of blood in an opponents when dojutsu is activated. Dojutsu's such as Ranmaru and Byakugan are able to see through clearly see through obstructions. While this is not innate ability, one is able to simutameously mould their chakra into sensory type chakra while also using their normal chakra to manipulate jutsu.

Tier 4/6: Expert

This tier represents an exceedingly rare and elite level of sensory mastery. Sensory-Nin here possess extraordinary abilities. Your chakra sensing reaches unparalleled comprehension. You can discern intricate aspects of chakra, including genetic traits, the intent behind it, and even emotions. Detecting every presence within your range is second nature, and your sensory abilities may even operate autonomously, responding without conscious effort.

Tier 5/6: Rare

The pinnacle of sensory capabilities belongs to this tier, a domain inhabited by very few, including luminaries like Minato and Tobirama, or those blessed with unique sensory gifts like Kurama's Negative Emotion Sensing. Your chakra sensing is at its zenith, transcending genetic and intentional aspects to perceive even the most nuanced subtleties. Emotions are an open book to you, and detecting every presence within your range is effortless. Your sensory abilities may function innately, independent of conscious control, making you an invaluable asset on the battlefield.

Tier 6/6: Otherworldly

This seventh tier stands apart as it signifies your ability to sense beyond the confines of your own dimension or realm. You possess the extraordinary capacity to perceive chakra, entities, or anomalies in dimensions and realms entirely unfamiliar to your own, allowing you to navigate and interact with multiversal spaces with unparalleled expertise.
