The Shadow World, better known as the Inverted World as well as the World of Darkness, is a dimension that exists alongside the main dimension of Earth. It is the shadows that are cast by everything in the main dimension, in which it is filled by shadow creatures and is ruled by anotherworldly entity.

History[]
It was discovered by a group of scientists who had attempted to travel between dimensions in order to colonize when their dimension was under attack. Little did they know, it was a dimension even the Otsutsuki Clan feared entering due to the nefarious nature behind the residents of the Inverted World, including their own counterparts that existed. The scientists themselves had been consumed into the shadows when they glimpsed into the endless void, arousing unwanted attention from their own counterparts - devouring them.
The fractures made by the entity can be seen from time to time, threatening the Earth as time goes by, with members disappearing into the shadows.
Inhabitant[]
It is said that there is a shadow version of every single living being from the standard dimension dwelling in this alternate realm, each possessing what is considered an inversion in their personalities compared to their counterparts from the main dimension. It is also noted that the reputation and perception of those regarding that person will be personified as such in the shadow counterpart. For example, a character can be believed by the world to be cowardly, evil, and scheming when the actual person isn't; this can be the case for the shadow world's version of that character.

- It is said that the Nara Clan had managed to harness a small portion of the world when controlling shadows. It is said to be the closest thing to those of the Inverted World.
- It is noted that when the normal and shadow versions of a character become one, they receive incredible boosts to their existing abilities. Though it depends on whoever initiates the merge first; that person will become the dominant personality.

- The concept of the Shadow Individuals is based on the Dark Naruto counterpart that Naruto Uzumaki encountered at the Falls of Truth Location as well as the concepts behind the Genjutsu World.
