Is a sealing technique that is bestowed to Ketsugo Uzumaki through the Grim Reaper: All-Point Signing Technique allowing access to the Reaper Death God characteristics, abilities, and authority within the Death God Council.
Attributes[]
The Shinigami Ceremony: All-Point Sealing Bestowal transformation and its associated stages mark a profound utilization of the Shinigami soul, presenting various appearances based on the energy expended. These distinctive forms, often referred to as skins or stages, grant the user unique abilities while actively tapping into the chakra of the Death God. Notably, each stage induces changes in the user's scent and chakra signature, creating an ominous aura.
Stages[]
Stage 1[]
Under the influence of the Death God's Chakra in Stage 1 of the Manifestation of the Death God transformation, notable physical changes occur in the user, Ketsugo Uzumaki. His pupils vanish, leaving only white eyeballs. The user's skin takes on a paler hue, and their hands undergo a transformation, aging yet retaining strength, with purple skin coating them up to the elbows. This stage grants the user a heightened perception of souls and spirits on an instinctive and primal level, enabling them to sense these entities regardless of distance or obstacles. Additionally, in Stage 1, Ketsugo gains the ability to communicate and travel freely to Hell and the land of the Shinigami. With permission, he can also enter other council members' corridors. By harnessing the power of death, the user manifests an insatiable hunger for life. The user's body and chakra become a vacuum of spiritual energies, emitting a profound absence of life. Even when life is consumed, an emptiness persists within the user. In this state, the user's energy transforms into a corruptive force, altering the concept of life itself. As the user prolongs the usage of this form, adverse effects manifest. The user's hands suffer necrosis, the severity of which depends on the extent of the shinigami's usage. Simultaneously, the shinigami essence starts to infiltrate the user's spirit, attempting to overlap their consciousness and causing damage to the body. This transformation, being an affront to life and its preservation, allows Ketsugo's purple hands to induce death upon contact with any person or object. This lethal ability can be further employed, such as extracting purple flesh for use as projectiles or even as a poisonous substance. In a maneuver instinctual to this form, Ketsugo can utilize a technique similar to the five-pronged seal. By infusing death's chakra into his fingertips and inserting them into a target's abdomen, he initiates necrosis, causing the decay to spread from the inside out. Notably, this transformation grants the user control over the "flames of hell." Those who witness this form do not experience negative emotions, as death is indifferent and beyond human feelings. Instead, observers feel a creepy and intense longing that searches for life itself. With each encounter with the essence of life, this yearning intensifies, making it increasingly challenging for the user to resist the beckoning call of death's door.
Stage 2[]
By tapping into greater chakra from the Death God, Stage 2 of the Manifestation of Death God transformation induces distinctive changes in Ketsugo's appearance. His hair transforms into aged, rusted snowy strands, growing longer in the process. The purple skin envelops his entire flesh, symbolizing a heightened connection to the Reaper Death God. This profound connection extends beyond Ketsugo's hands, allowing him to infuse death essence into his techniques. At this stage, the Reaper manifests behind Ketsugo, defying the laws of physics and the known aspects of nature. To those unfamiliar with the spiritual world, the emergence of the Reaper remains unnoticed. The Reaper hovers, primarily interacting with Ketsugo and clutching at the soul of the Uzumaki with its hair, emphasizing the intrinsic binding between the two. The hunger associated with the Manifestation of Death God intensifies in Stage 2, as the user experiences a more profound longing. The user becomes more akin to the shinigami, incorporating its essence within themselves and adopting more of the attitude of death. Contrary to common belief, the Reaper is neither evil nor good but neutral, adhering to its absolute role in existence. The voice of the Death God becomes discernible, blending with the user's own sound. Drawing on a substantial amount of the Shinigami's power, Ketsugo can make the shinigami disappear from all and house it into his own body. However, upon entering, the shinigami becomes subjugated to Ketsugo's commandments and will, essentially becoming a prisoner whose consciousness shares the space of the Sage. In this stage, jutsu of the shinigami become accessible that couldn't otherwise be used by the shinigami alone. This is because the deity requires a real body to utilize such techniques, drawing on eons of knowledge from observing shinobi live and die. For instance, an electrical projection technique, when employed, drains and destroys the essence of the victim. The energy is then absorbed into Ketsugo, bolstering his strength as the target succumbs to the effects of necrosis. However, after utilizing Stage 2, the user faces consequences. Their ability to think properly becomes compromised under the heavy influence of the Shinigami. They become susceptible to temporary takeovers by the Death God, coupled with significant damage to the user's life-force and spiritual energy, which feeds the spectral entity. This extensive toll on the user's well-being results in a theoretically halved lifespan, contingent on the duration of the transformation activation.
"Yet his form was something.. incompressible.. because it defied what should and should not be.. it was something in between life and death and I.. I can't.. no.. I shouldn't remember.. it should stay in the past.. it should stay forgotten."
Stage 3[]
Initiating Stage 3 of the Shinigami Ceremony, known as Zenchōshi (前兆死, Harbinger of Death), requires a ceremonial process. The user, in this case, Ketsugo Uzumaki, first must ingest the tanto of the Shinigami. This mystical dagger serves as a key to unlock the next phase of the transformation. Once the tanto is consumed, the user regurgitates or summons the extraordinary tool known as Ekō Ichishi. Upon securing hold of the tool's edge, a macabre ritual ensues. The user, in a symbolic act, stabs themselves in the gut, tearing an opening for the Shinigami. This visceral act paves the way for the powerful spirit of the Shinigami to be drawn within Ketsugo. As the Shinigami takes conscious control over the user's body, it willingly subjects itself to Ketsugo's commandments and will. The Shinigami becomes a prisoner, its consciousness limited by the highest fuinjutsu/majutsu at play. With its death essence yearning for vitality, the Shinigami indiscriminately consumes all life-force in the vicinity of Ketsugo. In a haunting display, the Shinigami can walk through individuals possessing lower life-forces, absorbing any and all vitality. Victims touched by the Shinigami undergo a transformation – their skin turns purple, eyes go white, and their souls are irrevocably claimed by the Shinigami, lost forever in its ethereal grasp. This stage of the Shinigami Ceremony unfolds as a dark and mystifying dance between the user and the spectral entity. The ritualistic aspects and the symbolic nature of the tanto ingestion add a layer of depth to the transformation, creating a vivid and haunting narrative as the Shinigami hungers for the life forces around Ketsugo.
