Overview[]

In the time immemorial, when the spiritual energies of the Hidden Shadows flowed like veins through the earth, there lived a tribe deeply attuned to the natural balance between the Light and the Darkness. This tribe, known as the Yamakaji, was led by the wise and revered chief, Takoda. The Yamakaji were protectors of the sacred sites that held the delicate equilibrium between the Things of the Light and things of the Darkness. Their tranquility, however, would be shattered by a fateful encounter with an unknown enigmatic spirit creature. This ancient being, dwelling in the shadows of the demon district, took offense at the Yamakaji intrusion into its sacred sanctuaries. Seeking retribution, Myrus, the Umbral Lord, the forefather of the Yamakaji clan placed a curse upon Takoda and his people, forever altering their existence.

The curse unfolded slowly, bringing forth a darkness that enveloped the Yamakaji. The once-noble tribe found themselves transformed into the beings with an insatiable thirst for the life force of the living that could only be quelled by their darkness. Takoda, now the progenitor of this Demon like lineage, bore the weight of the curse upon his shoulders. Driven by the necessity to survive, the Demon like clan adapted to their newfound nature, blending their spiritual connection with the shadows and darkness with their strange abilities. The Yamakaji, now the Yamishi Clan, sought solace in the hidden corners of the world.

As the Yamishi Clan navigated the complexities of their cursed existence, they discovered a unique gift bestowed upon them by the curse – a heightened connection to blood. The Clan Head, Takoda, became both a symbol of power and a spiritual guide. Under his leadership, the Yamishi Clan honed their abilities, developing jutsu techniques that merged darkness prowess with shadow and darkness manipulation. The clan's affinity for dark-based jutsu as well became their signature, allowing them to traverse the Shadows with unprecedented stealth. The Tomogui Clan, dwellers of the Demon District, recognized the Yamishi Clan as kindred spirits – cursed beings navigating a world that feared and misunderstood them. The Tomogui, found solace in the company of the Yamishi, whose Demonic like nature resonated with their own demonic essence. Through generations, the Yamishi and Tomogui Clans forged alliances during times of crisis, uniting their powers to protect the Demon District from external threats. These alliances became a testament to the delicate balance maintained by the two clans, bridging the gap between the Wendigo and realm of Darkness.

Kekkei Genkai[]

Darkness release: The kekkei genkai that focuses on the manipulation and manifestation of the Shadows and Darkness, such an ability that it is mostly utilized in the forms of Genjutsu mediums, and Manifestations of Eldritch horrors or abominations. Such manifestations are based on the twisted mind of the user. Though this Kekkei Genkai is very versatile in the imagination of the user, it has a tendency to being extremely chakra taxing as the wider the range of darkness their is, the more chakra that must be used to manipulate it. Though the Yamishi Clan can pinpoint selected aspects of the Darkness or Shadows, single-ling them out to form these abominations. Such versatility allows the users of this Kekkei Genkai to attack with close to long ranged manifestations, to consume the bodies of the targets but more specifically their blood.

Drawback: if the user of Darkness release uses their Kekkei Genkai, they become subjected to the endless thirst for blood. This will result in many openings being made that can be exploited, along with the rapid chakra consumption that using Darkness release can cause; making this Kekkei Genkai very taxing on the user which requires them to consume blood to maintain.
