Yukigakure (雪隠れの里, Yukigakure no Sato) is a hidden village located in the Winter District. Yukigakure has Kage as its leader known as the Yukikage, of which there has only been one in its history. The current kage is Ryohei, a bastard son born to the Second Shimokage. Yuki resides in the far reaches of the plains of snow near the Grass District border, surrounded by a thick dome of snow and ice under the shelter of a blizzard. The village was founded upon Ryohei's defection from Shimogakure, after he took the life of his father in a failed attempt to start a coup and usurp control of the village and the title of Shimokage from the Reisui Clan. As a result, the village has been entrenched in a civil war with the neighboring village, Shimogakure, as both villages seek to expand their political bodices to become a stronger economical presence within the Shinobi Continent.
Throughout this difficult process of expansion, Yukigakure has yet to secure political ties with any neighboring lands. They have however, managed to steal a very important artifact from Shimogakure, which has been turning the tides of war in their favor. Ninja's hailing from Yuki are versed in Ice Release techniques, as they were once members of Shimo.
History[]
Yukigakure is a recently founded village that can be found in the far frozen wastes away from its adversaries within the Winter District. The village came to be formed in secret over the course of well over twenty-five years utilizing the Reisui Clan funds underneath the noses and knowledge of its elders and clan head. Utilizing the finances, Ryohei the Yukikage, bartered with the Tendo Family, namely Xiao Tendo, the Tenth Kusakage of the Grass District, who is rumored to be closely affiliated with the KLAW Black Market. Upon being close to its completion, Ryohei staged the coup at Shimogakure in order to throw the village and country into civil unrest and to steal the Chakra Armor once utilized and created by Shimogakure. Since its inception, all reports and rumors of the village' existence has been suppressed by unknown forces, disallowing the Five Great Nations from knowing its exact whereabouts, operations and tactics. Their sole goal is to overthrow the Winter District and eradicate the Reisui Clan from the Ninja World.
Founding[]
Well over twenty-five years ago, after Ryohei felt betrayed by the Reisui Clan by not legitimizing him as a proper member of the family, and thus, becoming its heir and Shimokage. However with the birth of his half-sister and him being pushed out of the line of succession, he began to hatch a plan to overthrow the village and take it over. Believing that failure of that plan was also very much a possibility, he began to siphon finances from the Reisui Clan's personal coffers, to pay the Kusakage of the Grass District to build him a proper foundation for a Hidden Village on the edge of the District, and on the cusp of his own. Over the years, the project slowly but surely managed to come to fruition, having residences a main office an armory and a laboratory being the main focuses of necessity before he was able to move on with the second phase of his plan. Ryohei has even gone as far as bartering for livestock and produce in return for jobs he needs done quietly by experts, securing a line of food and other resources for the village residents. Eventually, once all the preparations were made Ryohei gave the order and declared a civil war on the Winter District, by killing the Second Shimokage and stealing the Chakra Armor.
Civil War[]
After the death of the First Shimokage, the Second Shimokage was less than an equal replacement for his predecessor. Failing to continue to progress left by his father, the Second Shimokage was irresponsible in his duties and squandered the funds of the village leaving it in poor standing worldwide, forcing them to outsource to other lands and borrow more than they can very well wish to pay back. Problems would further ensure for the Reisui family as the Second Shimokage had an insatiable lust for women, and thus sired a son not only out of wedlock but to a base born woman of whom he had no love or care for. Tossing her aside once the news came, he would deny her everyday until the son was born to him, Ryohei, and felt the guilt and responsibility of being a parent. He would take on the son to ward as the mother died in the birthing bed, raising him as not apart of the family, but as a servant.
Years would go by and the boy would grow into a young man, capable and strong, yearning for the affections of his father. Ryohei would go on to become a talented Shinobi in his own right, being born with the Ice Release kekkei genkai, coupled with his innate talent and fine tuned control over his chakra and inner energies, Ryohei trained and acted on the thought and principle that if he were to show his father how devoted he was to the village, family and the country, he would have no choice but to acknowledge him and present him with the last name Reisui. Rising through the ranks and gaining the respect from most ninja in he village, he however was still loathed by the upper council which still consisted of only Reisui elders. It didn't matter what Ryohei did, they always advised the Kage against making him his legitimate son and heir.
It wouldn't be after this however that Ryohei would give up his dream, it was when his father took the hand of marriage with another woman, urged by the clan to have another child to disallow for the Kage line to pass to Ryohei, swiftly finding him a suitor and not long after that a daughter would be born to the family, Tsurara Reisui was now born. An enraged Ryohei finally has reached his breaking point, devising a plan to usurp the title of Kage. After plotting for over little around thirty years, feigning loyalty to his village and "family", while building up his supporters within it, Ryohei finally carried out his plan on the day his sister was meant to become the third Shimokage. By poisoning his father, he then threw the village into chaos and civil unrest, having mobilized and taken control of half of the elite jonin and chunin level ninja, placed them into squads and tasked them to destroy and attack the village and its citizens while he stole valuable technology and destroyed whatever would have been left for them to salvage. He then took the surviving ninja and escaped the village to form and establish a new one in the far wastes of the Winter District. With the saved up money he accumulated over the years of plotting, and hiring builders in secret by using clan funds to pay for this project, Ryohei then declared himself the Yukikage of the Village Hidden in the Snow, Yukigakure.
Ever since, the two villages have raged with war, with Yukigakure being the aggressors in the conflict. After many conflicts over many years, this has left Yuki with fewer ninja than they had originally started the war with, but are also supplemented by their advancements in science and their strategies of guerilla warfare. With these specific styles of war, it has made them very formidable on and off the battlefield, allowing them to also level the playing field against the visiting Samurai who are on contract to the District.

Artifacts[]
Chakra Armour[]
The Chakra Armor (チャクラの鎧, Chakura no Yoroi) was an artifact created by the scientists of Shimogakure. After Ryohei's poisoning of the Shimokage, he immediately had multiple squads of ninja swarm and attack the village while he made his way to the laboratories with a squad of his own to destroy the labs and steal the data on the armor. Since the years have gone by and the resources that support the village mostly go into their science and development division, depriving the up and coming community from truly being a thriving society.
They have since made massive improvements to the base Chakra Armour technology. Improving the standard durability of the armour, making it far more resilient to chakra based techniques, taijutsu and has an even stronger aversion to keeping the wearer safe from genjutsu. This armour is no longer the experimental armour that was utilized by the Shimogakure technology developers and is much more potent in its capabilities, as they no longer suffer from any proximity issues of overloading energy, they do however still suffer from being overloaded with Lightning Release chakra.
Trivia[]
⊚ Despite being a criminal organization and has been entrenched in evil doing since its inception, it is a fairly well-organized and policed village that actually appears to thrive under the chaotic circumstances. The ninja who serve Ryohei are nothing if not loyal and are known to kill themselves before ever being resorted to torture for information.
⊚ There are some residents who formerly resided in the Grass District and appear to be unaware of the true nature of their home.
⊚ Despite spending countless amount of money to create the village in order to rule over and expand its influence throughout the Shinobi Continent, Ryohei's office is one of the smaller buildings in the village and is attached to the laboratory. His office and home is also said to be modest in size as his intention of building the village was for those who lived her with him to feel more at home than he did. An ideology that is ironically similar to that of the First Shimokage, his fraternal grandfather.
⊚ The Village is hidden underneath a weather ninjutsu that casts a seemingly ever-lasting blizzard, which can change the landscape in minutes. This i however, combined with a barrier so as to properly filter out the amount of chakra taking over the area around the village from becoming uncontrollable.
